Fairborn, OH — Southern Ohio PGA Reach is celebrating the completion of the 2020 season for two PGA HOPE Chapters this month. PGA HOPE is the flagship military program of PGA REACH and designed to enhance our Veteran’s mental, social, physical, and emotional well-being through an introduction to the game of golf.
The PGA HOPE Dublin Chapter concluded their season on Saturday, August 15th with a socially-distanced lunch after their final practice session. More than 35 Columbus Veterans received basic golf instruction from PGA Professionals throughout the six-week program. Thanks to Lead Professional Jeff Olson, PGA for hosting the Chapter at the Golf Club of Dublin and to our instructors Krissy Austin, PGA, Jared Wong, PGA, Ryan Jacocks, PGA, Ken Corliss, PGA, and Paul Hobart, PGA.
The PGA HOPE – Meadow Links Chapter put their new skills to the test at their final session 9-hole scramble on Saturday, August 29th. A record number of 108 Cincinnati Veterans registered for this year’s four-week program. Thanks to Lead Professional Matt Starr, PGA for hosting the Chapter at Meadow Links & Golf Academy and to our instructors Mike Deiters, PGA, Jeff Steinberg, PGA, Paul Rooney, PGA, Pam Rothermund, PGA, Keith Fisher, PGA, and Brian Jones, PGA.
