Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf. DCP is a joint initiative founded in 2013 by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association, and The PGA of America.
By tapping the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15, Drive, Chip and Putt provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. The Southern Ohio PGA Junior Tour was founded in 2008 with the goal in mind of helping to develop younger golfers as well as providing them with outstanding competitions on a local level. The program also strives to foster sportsmanship and integrity among its 13-18 year-old members through these 18 and 36 -hole competitions.
In 2011, SOPGA established the Futures Tour to help prepare players for what they will face as they advance to the SOPGA Jr. Tour. Both 9 and 18 -hole competitions are offered on this tour for golfers aged 7-13.
The Southern Ohio PGA Junior Tours are open to all junior amateurs who live in the state of Ohio.
