GOLFTEC Expands Partnership in Support of Southern Ohio PGA Professionals

FAIRBORN, OH (March 29, 2021) – GOLFTEC facilities throughout the three major markets of the Southern Ohio Section have collectively agreed to a new, three-year partnership in support of our Southern Ohio PGA Professionals. 

“GOLFTEC has been a proud supporter of the Section of over 15 years,” noted Jeff McEldowney, GOLFTEC Regional Manager and Director of Instruction at GOLFTEC – Dublin. “As we have grown through the years, we have always looked within the Section first to find instructors looking to further their career. Providing a place where PGA Members and Associates can further their career with a great work/life balance while having a ton of fun has been a passion of our leadership since our first center opened.”

Beginning in 1995 with the original Training Center in Denver, Colorado, GOLFTEC has been committed to helping people play better golf for more than 25 years. Since their expansion into the Southern Ohio Section in 2005, GOLFTEC has grown to currently employ 10 PGA Professional Members & 5 Associates teaching at their five locations across Southern Ohio. The extended partnership builds on a 15-year relationship between the organizations.

They truly believe in the value a PGA Professional brings to the operation,” said Southern Ohio PGA Executive Director Patrick Salva. “We’re excited that all three markets have aligned and committed to this three-year partnership as it truly shows their dedication to Southern Ohio and our PGA Members and Associates.”

Southern Ohio PGA will host the GOLFTEC Legacy Championship on Monday, May 10, 2021 as the first Individual Stroke Play competition of the season. GOLFTEC has also signed on as a Presenting Partner of the 2021 SOPGA Fall Meeting on Monday, October 25, 2021 and, brand-new to the partnership, the annual Teacher of the Year Award will now be presented by GOLFTEC. 

“For those of us on the teaching side of the business, the SOPGA Teacher of the Year Award is the Ultimate Honor,” said Jeff. “Our Section is packed with amazing instructors from all over who have helped to grow the game and impacted tons of lives. Our support of the Award and the yearly winner is our way of saying ‘Thank You’.”
