(Fairborn, OH) – It was announced at the Southern Ohio PGA Fall Meeting that Sam Arnold and Dave Bahr were elected to the Greater Cincinnati PGA Hall of Fame. The pair were recognized for their significant contribution to the game of golf in Cincinnati through their service, playing ability and contributions to their facility and fellow professionals.

Arnold is the General Manager at the Vineyard Golf Course in Cincinnati, OH. Arnold has been a part of the Southern Ohio golf community for most of his life. He began playing the game in Cincinnati where his name can be found in the archives of many local newspapers’ sports sections featuring his junior golf scores. Moving north of his hometown, Arnold attended Wright State University in Dayton and competed as a member of the men’s golf team from 1990-1993. In 1998, he earned his PGA Membership as an Assistant Professional at The Vineyard Golf Course. He has captured many tournament wins including the 2021 SOPGA Tour Championship at TPC River’s Bend. Most notably, Arnold has claimed the Southern Ohio PGA Professional Championship three separate times; Pinnacle Golf Club in 2007, Scioto Country Club in 2012, and Miami Valley Golf Club in 2022.

Bahr is the Head Professional at Maketewah Country Club. He was elected to PGA of America Membership in 1997 and spent time at Cherokee Town & Country Club and Dayton Country Club before his current position. Bahr is a three-time Southern Ohio PGA Professional Champion having won in 2004, 2011 and 2016. He has also claimed the title in the Southern Ohio PGA Match Play Championship twice among many other local titles. Nationally, Bahr has qualified for and played in nine PGA Professional Championships in his career.
