Clubs Fore Kids

The Southern Ohio PGA Clubs Fore Kids program is an initiative to help children ages 8-18 learn the game of golf and use the sport to build strong character and valuable life skills. The program offers juniors a set of golf clubs to call their own, free golf instruction from a PGA Professional, and a Youth on Course membership allowing the junior access to reduced rates at area courses. Clubs Fore Kids provides juniors with financial need with the opportunity to learn the game of golf and explore the values that come with being part of the golf community.

In an effort to get more young girls and boys opportunities in golf, this application is particularly for high school and middle school girls and boys golf coaches.   Based on surveys sent out to all Boys and Girls High School Golf Coaches in the Ohio region, results show that 50% of girls high school teams and 59% of boys high school teams have at least one player that is sharing or borrowing equipment.
