The PGA WORKS Fellowship provides the opportunity for a one-year, paid immersion in a PGA Section’s Foundation operations. It aspires to be the most valuable entry-level employment opportunity for individuals from diverse backgrounds to garner experience in all sides of the golf industry.
PGA REACH Southern Ohio received its first PGA WORKS Fellow in 2018 as a piece of the partnership between PGA REACH and the Nicklaus Companies. Since then, each of the SOPGA Fellows has worked on elevating the PGA REACH Southern Ohio Foundation through assisting with the Junior Tour, Futures Tour, PGA Jr. League, Drive, Chip & Putt, and PGA HOPE programs.

The Southern Ohio PGA, through the PGA REACH Southern Ohio Foundation, is proud to announce a new scholarship program beginning in 2021. The program will award scholarships to the children and grandchildren of PGA Professionals who apply for, but do not receive, a PGA of America Scholarship.
After the selection of the winner for the PGA of America Scholarship Program, the remaining applicants from our Section who did not receive a national scholarship will be eligible to receive a PGA REACH Southern Ohio scholarship.
This scholarship is for college students and high school seniors who plan to attend a college or university. Graduate students are not eligible. The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4 (unweighted GPA based on a 4.0 scale).
