NEW ALBANY, Ohio – Bob Sowards added another victory to his decorated Southern Ohio PGA career, winning the 2025 SOPGA New Albany Classic at New Albany Country Club with a bogey-free six-under 66. The round featured three birdies on each side and was enough to edge Michael Auterson by one shot.

The victory marks Sowards’ fifth New Albany Classic title in the past decade and his second SOPGA win in just a few weeks, following his Stableford Championship triumph at Dayton Country Club. Over the last ten years, Sowards has finished outside the top 20 in an SOPGA event only once while collecting more than 30 victories.

Auterson finished runner-up, while Andy Montgomery, Griffin Mitchell, and Chris Muse tied for third. David Podrasky surged into solo sixth with a closing stretch of eagle-par-birdie. Chase Wilson and Jared Jones tied for seventh, with Taylor Holt and Derrick DeHart rounding out the top 10.

In the Associate Division, Mitchell captured the title with a three-under 69.
