DUBLIN, OH — The Southern Ohio PGA has announced that Garrett Rodgers, PGA, and Bobby Sneed, PGA, have been elected to serve two-year terms as At-Large Directors on the Section Board of Directors. The election results were finalized during the 2026 Annual Fall Meeting, following a voting period that opened on October 16.

“I’m excited to welcome both Garrett and Bobby to the Southern Ohio PGA Board of Directors,” noted SOPGA President Jeff Grant, PGA. “Both bring their own perspective to the Section and I’m confident that they will be significant additions to our current leadership team.”

The new At-Large Directors bring diverse leadership experiences from within the golf and private club industry across Southern Ohio.

Garrett Rodgers, PGA

Garrett Rodgers currently serves as the Director of Golf at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, a position he has held for the past four years. In his role, Rodgers oversees all facets of the golf operation, including the Golf Shop, outside services, instruction, junior golf, tournaments, and member programming.

Throughout his tenure at Coldstream, Rodgers has been instrumental in growing the golf operation and developing the Professional Staff. His commitment to leadership and team development recently earned him the Distinguished Achievement in Leadership recognition through Distinguished Clubs, presented by BoardRoom Magazine.

Rodgers has also been an active supporter of the SOPGA, facilitating the return of Section events to Coldstream Country Club, including the 2024 E-Z-GO Spring Pro-Pro Championship and the 2026 Summer Pro-Pro.

“I am running for the SOPGA Board because I believe strongly in our profession and want to give back to the organization that represents PGA Professionals throughout Southern Ohio,” Rodgers stated during his candidacy. He emphasized his goal of expanding peer-to-peer learning opportunities, strengthening mentorship programs, and ensuring the Golf Professional’s perspective is well-represented in Board discussions.

Bobby Sneed, PGA

Bobby Sneed brings extensive experience in club management to the Board. A graduate of The Ohio State University’s Professional Golf Management Program, Sneed has spent his entire career in the golf and private club industry. He currently serves as the General Manager at Wedgewood Golf and Country Club.

A member of the Southern Ohio PGA Section for over 15 years, Sneed has nearly 12 years of experience serving as a GM/COO at multiple facilities in the Columbus area. His foundational experience includes working as a golf professional at prestigious Ohio clubs, such as Muirfield Village Golf Club and Scioto Country Club.

Prior to his election as an At-Large Director, Sneed served the Section on the Membership Committee.

“I believe my experience as both a PGA Professional and a GM/COO gives me a different perspective on the challenges our members face today,” Sneed said. He noted that one of the biggest challenges facing the Section is continuing to provide value to PGA Professionals as the industry evolves, particularly in the areas of recruitment, retention, and managing the increasing demands placed on golf professionals.

Looking Ahead

Rodgers and Sneed will join the SOPGA Board of Directors to help guide the future of the Section, focusing on providing value, education, and resources to PGA Professionals throughout Southern Ohio. Their two-year terms begin immediately.
