SPRINGBORO, OH – The Southern Ohio PGA is set to host the 2025 Ohio Women’s Open at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, OH on Saturday, June 6-7, 2025 with a fundraising Pro Am being hosted the day prior to the championship on June 5, 2025.
The Ohio Women’s Open has been hosted for nearly two decades at Eagle Rock Golf Course in Defiance, OH. The Southern Ohio PGA agreed to purchase the tournament in early 2023 with the event having a rebirth in 2024 at Heatherwoode Golf Club. The list of champions includes Lisa Strom, an Ohio State University alum who captured the title three times. Strom currently serves as the Women’s Golf Head Coach at her alma mater. Other notable champions include former Ohio State University golfer Jessica Porvasnik and former University of North Carolina golfer Allie White along with the 2024 champion, Madison Reemsnyder from Xavier University.
The championship will be hosted the first week of June to provide an opportunity for as many participants as possible to play in the event.
The community will also have the opportunity to get involved with the event through a variety of open volunteer positions assisting with score collection, on-course marshals, player registration, hospitality and rules officials. Volunteer sign-up will take place on the Southern Ohio PGA website or by clicking here.
