MAINEVILLE, Ohio (August 1, 2022) – Congratulations Jeff Olson, PGA; the 2022 Queen City Classic Champion. Olson carded a round of two-under-par, 70 at TPC River’s Bend and claimed the title after persevering in a three-way playoff.
Olson, General Manager at the Golf Club of Dublin, opened his round with a par on the first hole at TPC River’s Bend. Having four bogeys in his card did not seem to bother him one bit. At the Queen City Classic, Olson held the title for most birdies in the entire field. His final score of 70, two-under-par, led him to share the top of the leaderboard with Ian Prats and Chris Muse, PGA. After a sudden death playoff, Olson was crowned Champion of the Queen City Classic as he scored a par on TPC River’s Bend’s seventh hole.
Four additional players carded rounds under par at the Queen City Classic. Ian Prats, Associate Assistant Professional at Maketewah Country Club and Chris Muse, PGA Teaching Professional at Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club, finished in a three-way tie for first place at two-under-par, 70. Bob Sowards, PGA Director of Instruction at Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club, and Danny Sorgini, PGA Head Professional at Blacklick Woods Golf Course, finished tied at one-under-par, 71.
