FAIRBORN, OH – The Southern Ohio PGA is proud to announce that four members have been elected to fill At-Large Director roles. At the 2022 Southern Ohio PGA Fall Meeting, the membership elected Joe Falardeau and Chad Gilligan to serve a two-year term through October 2024 while Jeff Grant and Jim Simminger will serve a one-year term through October 2023.
Joe Falardeau, PGA Head Professional at Scioto Country Club, joined the boardroom serving on the former Southeast Chapter Board of Directors and was appointed to fill an At-Large Director role in early 2022. He has led the Junior Golf Committee throughout the year focusing on the growth of junior programs under the Southern Ohio PGA umbrella, advocating for the junior programs with fellow Southern Ohio PGA members and creating a long-term plan for the junior golf programs. Falardeau will serve this role through October 2024.
Chad Gilligan, PGA Head Professional at Losantiville Country Club, served on the former Southwest Chapter Board of Directors in various capacities. Gilligan will serve in this role through October 2024.
Jeff Grant, PGA General Manager/COO at NCR Country Club, first joined the Section Board through his appointment to an At-Large Director role in 2022 after previously serving on the PGA of America’s Employment Committee among other industry organizations. Grant has led the Play Yellow Birdie Bash task force where his operational and strategic guidance has been instrumental in growing the annual fundraiser put on by PGA REACH Southern Ohio, in conjunction with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Grant will serve in this role through October 2023.
Jim Simminger, PGA Sales Rep with Trackman, previously served on the former Southwest Chapter Board of Directors and was appointed to fill an At-Large Director role in early 2022. He has led the Membership Committee in creating exceptional education offerings in addition to the selection of speakers for SOPGA Spring and Fall Meetings. The committee has also made great strides in welcoming new Southern Ohio PGA Members and Associates and evaluating the current mentorship opportunities in the Section. Simminger will serve in this role through October 2023.
The 2022 Fall Meeting At-Large Director Election follows the adoption of the new Long Term Strategic Plan at the 2021 Southern Ohio PGA Fall Meeting. Future SOPGA Fall Meetings will provide an annual opportunity for the membership to elect leaders who will best uphold the organization’s mission of creating an environment for the members and the game to thrive.
