Korte Selected as 25th PGA Career Consultant in PGA of America’s North Central Region

FRISCO, TX – The PGA of America’s North Central Region has added PGA Professional Garrett Korte as the 25th PGA Career Consultant.  Korte, a PGA Member since 2009, will serve the Southern Ohio, Northern Ohio, and Tri State PGA Sections as part of the Career Services professional team placed throughout the country.

Prior to joining the PGA of America team, Garrett served as the PGA Head Golf Professional & Director of Operations at Sand Ridge Golf Club outside of Cleveland, OH.  With a wide range of experience in the golf industry, Garrett has spent time at Findlay Country Club, Huntingdon Valley Country Club, and The Country Club-OH and filled various roles at public golf facilities.  While at Sand Ridge GC, he fostered a strong team chemistry with his staff and encouraged club participation and the overall enjoyment of the game of golf with his membership.  His passion is simply to share the joys of golf with children and adults, opening doorways to many possibilities and assisting his PGA Professional peers on their own personal career journey.

Earning PGA Membership in 2009 and gaining Certifications in all 7 disciplines by 2013, he has an active desire to gain knowledge and grow as a professional earning him Assistant Golf Professional of the Year honors in 2014.  He has served on the Northern Ohio PGA Section Board of Directors and with several committees at both the Section and Chapter level.

A graduate of The University of Findlay with degrees in Business Management and Operations & Logistics with a minor in Finance. Korte lives in Solon, Ohio with wife Katie, son Remy and daughter Hudson and will start Jan. 3, 2022.
