The Southern Ohio PGA is sad to report the passing of James “Keith” Haley, PGA on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Keith graduated from The Ohio State University in 1973. He served as a Columbus Police Officer and Detective for 13 years before becoming a PGA Member in 1995. For more than 25 years, Keith was a golf instructor teaching in Marysville, Bellefontaine and Central Ohio. Throughout his career as a golf professional, Keith worked at facilities around the Southern Ohio Section including Royal American Links, Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club, The Golf Depot at Central Park and, most recently, The Golf Center at SportsOhio. Keith is also known for his invention of the patented Amazing Angle Golf Swing Trainer.
He is preceded in death by parents Benny and JoAnn Haley. Survived by loving wife and best friend Patty (Young) Haley of 46 years, daughters Theresa (Matt) Forster and Jean (Mark) Arnold, brothers Scott (Sharon) Haley and Mike (Kathy) Haley, niece and nephew Courtney Haley and David Jr. (Bailey) Haley, great nephew David Haley III, loving fur babies Scarlet and Gray, numerous loving relatives and friends.
The Haley family will receive friends Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 10-11:30 am at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a memorial service will follow at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
