As 2025 comes to a close, PGA HOPE Southern Ohio reflects on a year defined by expanded opportunities and meaningful growth for our Veteran community. With more programs offered and more Veterans served, this season stands out as one of our strongest yet.

Across 12 chapter locations, PGA HOPE Southern Ohio delivered a full year of programming that welcomed Veterans at every stage of their golf journey.

This year included:

  • 15 Basic Trainings
  • 332 Participants
  • 263 Graduates
  • 50 PGA Professionals Participated
  • 5 Graduate Training Programs
  • 51 Graduates competing in the 2025 SOPGA HOPE Cup
  • 103 Trained PGA Professionals

This year’s growth was fueled in part by a major grant, which allowed us to significantly increase access across the region. With this support, we were able to launch three new programs, expand capacity at two current programs and add one additional session at one program. These enhancements resulted in 52 additional graduates, each experiencing HOPE’s mission firsthand.

The Southern Ohio community stepped up in many remarkable ways throughout the year. Events like the KPMG Mid-America Veterans Outing and Stars and Stripes collectively raised an approximate of $24,700. These fundraising efforts made it possible to send our very first Southern Ohio team to the 2025 Secretary’s Cup, as well as host the 2025 Southern Ohio PGA HOPE Cup and even supporting a VA Suicide Awareness Day in Cincinnati.

This year’s achievements remind us of what’s possible when our community comes together, and we’re excited for all that lies ahead in 2026. Thank you to everyone who helped make 2025 one of our most meaningful years yet.

You can support PGA HOPE Southern Ohio today through the 2025 HOPE 4 HEROES Campaign, a nationwide fundraising initiative supporting Veterans and Active-Duty Military participating in PGA HOPE. Running through December 31, this campaign plays a vital role in expanding access to golf programming for Veterans across the country. The funds raised during this campaign directly support PGA HOPE Sections, including Southern Ohio, ensuring that every Veteran can participate at no cost.

Across Southern Ohio, we’re seeing remarkable growth in participation, community engagement and demand for more programming. With additional support through HOPE 4 Heroes, we can continue serving those who served and making sure our Nation’s heroes receive all the therapeutic benefits the game of golf provides.
