The Southern Ohio PGA is proud to celebrate Hannah McCrabb, of Springboro, OH, as she has completed the PGA Associate Program and been elected to PGA of America Membership as of December 2023!

McCrabb developed a love for the game of golf through her family, especially her grandmother, from a young age. Her recreational play turned into competing in junior events for Springboro High School and eventually collegiate level tournaments as part of the Ashbury University Women’s Golf Team. As a young player, McCrabb’s passion for the game was fostered by her local PGA of America Professionals, Gip Hoagland and Rob Karnes, while working at Dayton-area green-grass facilities which led to her beginning the PGA Associate Program in 2021. She prides herself on being a jack of all trades assisting with events, instruction, junior camps and anywhere she is needed. Her strong work ethic and positive, energetic personality drive her through each day leading others by her example. Her hard work and dedication to the industry were recognized with the 2022 Southern Ohio PGA Associate of the Year Award. While growing within her career, McCrabb hopes to be a role model to other girls interested in the sport and business of golf.

Who / what inspired you to get involved with the game and/or business of golf? My grandma is my biggest golf inspiration. I have pictures of myself as a baby, holding a golf ball with her in a golf cart. She was the one pushing me throughout my years of competitive golf. She would be there for my junior events, high school golf matches, and college tournaments. The two people who inspired me to get into the business of golf were Rob Karnes, PGA and Gip Hoagland, PGA. They have known me since I was 14 and have pushed me to get better every day. They have molded me into the golf professional I am today. 

What are you most looking forward to pursuing now that you are a PGA Member? I am looking forward to continuing my education through the PGA. I want to push myself to be the best PGA Professional I can be. I hope one day to be a Head Professional or Director of Golf. 

What about the game makes you LOVE golf? Being able to play with my family has been the biggest joy for me. I would also say being able to create lifelong friends through my years of competitive golf.
