FAIRBORN, Ohio (August 19, 2021) – Century Equipment, a Jerry Pate Company, has signed-on to support the Southern Ohio PGA Section for three years to begin a new partnership between the two organizations.
“Century Equipment has long been a supporter of the SOPGA. Now under the leadership of Jerry Pate, former U.S. Open Champion, Century is committed to continuing our support,” stated Shelly Copland, Marketing Coordinator for the organization.
The Ohio-based company began in 1950 as a business focused on the retail sale of power mowers, selling almost exclusively to homeowners in Northern Ohio & Southern Michigan. Century Equipment has grown over the years to four locations around Ohio servicing six states with various vendors, product lines and services, including Club Car. Jerry Pate Company acquired Century Equipment in 2020 and merged the two family-owned and run businesses.
“We’re so happy to be expanding our relationship with Century Equipment, a Jerry Pate Company and Club Car,” noted Southern Ohio PGA Executive Director Patrick Salva. “They’ve been an incredible partner with us through their sponsorship of the Section Championship and we expect to see that grow with this local partnership.”
Southern Ohio PGA will host the Century Equipment, a Jerry Pate Company Fall Pro-Pro Championship on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Walnut Grove Country Club in Dayton, Ohio.
“Club Car has been the Title Sponsor of the Section Championship for many years. Supporting another Section event is just another way we can give back to Section Members,” noted Copland. “Our partnership with the SOPGA has been a terrific way to build relationships over the years and we look forward to continuing our support.”
