DAYTON, Ohio – Brandon Johnson, a graduate of the PGA HOPE program at the Golf Club at Yankee Trace and a Chapter Captain for that very program, has been selected to become the third PGA HOPE Ambassador for the Southern Ohio PGA.
Brandon will attend the 6th Annual PGA HOPE National Golf & Wellness Week (NGWW), taking place October 8-14, 2025, as the prestigious Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. During the training, Johnson will receive a tool kit of new skills focused on advantaged golf instruction and impactful wellness training. The curriculum is an extension of what Veterans have been learning throughout the years at their home PGA HOPE programs.
“Brandon Johnson has a passion for the game of golf and for his community, including those he served with, like nobody I have met before” noted Southern Ohio PGA Executive Director Patrick Salva. “Like his predecessors have done in the past, I believe Brandon will make our programs significantly better because of his involvement in PGA HOPE National Golf & Wellness Week as well as serving as our Ambassador in Southern Ohio.
Brandons background in golf is strong. He played in a number of Air Force competitions as well as local amateur events. Competitive highlights include qualifying for the United States Mid-Amateur Championship in 2017 and 2021 and winning the 2016 and 2018 Veteran Golf Association Championship.
Following completion of NGWW, Brandon will join Burt Jones and Keven Farrell as PGA HOPE Ambassadors in Southern Ohio.
