Ashley Thomas, PGA Wins Sixth Consecutive SOPGA Women’s Championship

Blacklick, OH – Ashley Thomas, PGA of GOLFTEC – Blue Ash fired an even-par 108 to win the 23rd SOPGA Women’s Professional Championship. The event, originally scheduled as a 36-hole event, was shortened to 27 holes due to inclement weather. This is Thomas’ sixth consecutive victory at this event.

She shot 2-under-par 70 in her first round to lead the pack. She followed that up by making the turn at 2-over-par 38 before weather forced the early finish.

Jamie Brewer of Hyde Park Golf & Country Club finished runner-up after posting a total score of 6-over-par 114 over the 27 holes. Melissa Yeazell, PGA of Tri-County Golf Ranch and Devon Holden, PGA of Sun Mountain rounded out the top three after both tied at 9-over-par 117.
