Columbus, OH – Allie White has an extra gear. Clear as day and obvious to anyone. And she’s found it a lot in 2026.
Add a Southern Ohio PGA Women’s Professional Championship trophy to an already crowded cabinet.
White shot an outrageous 4-under 68 in the final round of the Women’s Section Championship at Columbus Country Club on Wednesday. It was nine shots better than the next best round of the day and gave her an eight shot victory over Ashley Thomas.

White entered the final round doing something she hasn’t done much this season: chasing a leader.
Thomas opened the 25th Women’s Professional Championship in the lead after shooting 75. Her power off the tee on full display, Thomas overpowered CCC in stretches Tuesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, White took over from the opening tee shot. Birdies at one and two quickly erased Thomas’s lead. She added to her advantage with another birdie on the long and tough par 4 fourth.
The momentum never wavered from that point on. White played her opening nine holes 3-under and never looked back.
It caps off an individual tournament season that made history at nearly every stop. White won for the first time when she grabbed the title at the SOPGA Stableford event at Dayton Country Club in June. Barely a month later, she became the first woman to win the Main Division of a Southern Ohio PGA Classic event when she won the SOPGA Springfield Classic at Springfield Country Club. She finished T3 at the Southern Ohio PGA Professional Championship, booking a trip to Streamsong for the National PGA Professional Championships next April.
She will make more history next week when she becomes the first woman to represent Southern Ohio at the Ohio Cup. In between those bookends, all White did was tee it up against the world’s best at her third KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota.

Thomas finished 5-over for the day and solo second. NCR Country Club’s Hannah McKanna grabbed solo third and Devon Holden of Holden Golf Sales finished fourth.

The Women’s Section Championship has never been about the size of the leaderboard. It’s about making sure there is a place on the calendar for women in the golf industry to connect and enjoy the game together. Wednesday had plenty of that — four players, plenty of laughs and more than a few good shots.

And then there was Allie.
Even in a tournament built as much around camaraderie as competition, she found another gear. Another trophy. Another reminder of just how remarkable this year has been.
For Allie White, 2026 keeps adding up to the same thing: history, one trophy at a time.
