As you may have heard already heard, SOPGA Hall of Famer Bob Harrison, PGA passed away yesterday at the age of 79. Bob was the Head Professional at Clovernook for nearly 40 years from 1971-2007 and was elected into the SOPGA Hall of Fame in 2003. Among his many other accomplishments during his storied career, Bob produced and hosted a Public Access show teaching the swing, rules and etiquette of golf and served on the teaching panel for the PGA of America’s former business schools. Bob served in many roles on the Cincinnati Chapter Board and was regarded around the Section as a model professional. We are deeply saddened by the news of his passing and send our condolences to his family and loved ones. Bob’s passing is a huge loss for the Southern Ohio PGA and the PGA of America as a whole.
The visitation will be Tuesday, June 9th 2020 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Hodapp’s Funeral Home – College Hill (6041 Hamilton Ave Cincinnati, Ohio). Fr. George will speak at 5, then all are welcome back at Clovernook to celebrate Bob’s life.
