The Southern Ohio PGA is proud to recognize Adam Taulbee, Assistant Golf Professional at Elks Run Golf Club, as the 2025 Associate of the Year. Known for his unwavering dedication, infectious passion for the game, and constant drive for improvement, Adam embodies the values of the PGA of America and the Southern Ohio Section.

At Elks Run, Adam’s work ethic is as steady as his love for the facility he calls home. He takes pride in every aspect of his role, from managing the pro shop to organizing events, always looking for ways to elevate both the golfer experience and his own professional growth.
Adam’s connection to the Southern Ohio Section runs deep. He is a familiar face at Section meetings, using them as opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and sharpen his knowledge. On Mondays, you can find him competing in Section events, not only testing his own game but also fostering camaraderie with fellow PGA Professionals.
Over the past year, Adam’s leadership has grown in both scope and impact. Entrusted with greater responsibility at Elks Run, he has embraced the challenge, leading his team with a clear vision and motivating them to buy into it. The results have been obvious and tangible. The facility is better and the staff is significantly more united and motivated. Drawing on his own experiences in the PGA Associate Program, Adam now mentors newer associates, guiding them through the early stages of their careers.
Adam’s commitment to excellence shines in the way he operates the pro shop and manages golf outings. Known for its organization and up-to-date selection, his shop regularly draws compliments from customers. His meticulous planning and personal touch in coordinating tournaments have made Elks Run a trusted venue for organizations, leading to repeat business year after year.
Beyond his facility, Adam invests in the growth of the game at every level. In his community, he has forged strong relationships with local high school golf coaches, serving as a role model for young players and assisting teams whenever possible. Within the Section, he encourages others to engage more deeply with their profession by attending meetings, entering tournaments, or pursuing PGA membership.
