The Southern Ohio PGA had five qualifying spots available for the 2027 PGA Professional Championship at Streamsong Golf Resort.
Bob Sowards, Ben Kern and Jared Jones were already exempt into the tournament. Joining them will be Allie White, Joe Moore, Sam Arnold, Corey Weckerling and Mike... Thomas!
He is inevitable! Bob Sowards wins the 2026 Southern Ohio PGA Professional Championship for the 12th time!
Sowards shot the round of the day during the final round, a 3-under 69, to win by four shots over Ben Kern.
The Tommy Bryant trophy looks especially great today! Shoutout to Heritage Creations for giving it the presentation it deserves.

Our Clubs Fore Kids sessions at Champions Golf Course officially kicked off yesterday, led by Mark Williams, PGA. Building on last year’s incredible momentum, where the Southern Ohio PGA Foundation donated 40+ set of clubs to city high schools, we’re back at it with a massive goal: getting golf... played at every single city high school in Columbus.
Over the next three days, 70-80 local student-athletes will hit the course to jump-start their upcoming high school golf season. Huge shoutout to the City of Columbus, our dedicated PGA Professionals, the high school coaches, and most of all the players for making this mission possible. Let’s work!

PGA Golf Management University Program
The PGA Golf Management University Program is offered at 18 universities nationwide. Each participating university has specific entrance requirements.
Test-out Option for Current and Former LPGA Members
Each applicant will be evaluated on the merits of her membership status with the LPGA to determine if she qualifies for and will be approved to work toward membership in the PGA of America.
