How did you get started playing golf?
When I was young my dad introduced me to almost every sport there is, and when I tried golf I just loved the challenge and swinging as hard as I could.
Who taught you how to play golf?
My dad taught me the basics, but ever since I was about 9 years old Bill Ackman of Walnut Grove CC has been my swing coach. But my dad was the starting factor.
Who has been the most influential person in your life?
My mom. She’s taught me just about everything I know about being a good and successful person.
If you could play any golf course in the world, what would it be and why?
Saint Andrews, because I love links golf and it’s the Home of golf, it has so much history.
What are your favorite clubs in your bag?
My wedges, I love hitting any shot from 100 yards and in, plus there scoring clubs so they are very important if you want to go low..

Hanging out with friends or watching the Golf Channel haha.
As a junior golfer, who do you look up to for inspiration?
My swing coach Bill and my mom who is my biggest fan.
Do you have any superstitions on the golf course?
Oh I have a million. If I’m playing well I won’t switch my ball no matter how beat up it is, putting on or taking off my jacket depending on how I’m playing. I always mark my ball with a Euro from Italy. And while I’m warming up I have to listen to my iPod to get mentally ready for my round.
What has been your favorite memory so far on the golf course?
Going to The Masters with my Dad last year and watching the best in the world play on one of the nicest courses in the world, Augusta National.
What do you hope to accomplish as a golfer?
Just to always love and respect the game, and see how far that gets me. And to win The Masters.

Yes! When I pull my putter cover off I have to move it in between my bag stand. I feel like if I don’t I will make a bogey or something. I also have to line up my ball on my drives a certain way and I do it the opposite way when I line up my putts.

I think my favorite memory on the golf course would be just playing at State 2 years in a row. It was so exciting because that is the biggest tournament you can get to in high school golf.

Right now I hope to accomplish going to State for a 3rd time either individually or as a team. I have many goals but I want to focus on my high school ones right now.
